Cookies & local storage
Only what makes the journey work.
No cookie wall, no hidden audience profile. This is the storage the product actually uses, and the one optional item stays off until you say yes.
The essential session cookie
A random private session token lets the server recognise your preview and order without exposing other customers’ records. It is required for the creation journey, it is never used for advertising, and it needs no consent because the shop cannot run without it.
Saved portraits in this browser
If you choose “Save for later”, the portrait configuration and private link are stored locally in this browser so you can come back to it. That is not a tracking cookie, nothing about it leaves your device on its own, and clearing site data removes it.
The Meta pixel (optional, off by default)
If you press “Accept all” on the cookie card, a measurement pixel from Meta loads and may set the _fbp and _fbc cookies. It tells us whether our adverts found the right people; it does not change your price or your portrait. Until you accept, the pixel does not load and those cookies are never set. If you later choose “Essential only”, we delete them and the pixel stays off.
The Pinterest tag (optional, off by default)
Behind the same yes as the Meta pixel: if you accept, a measurement tag from Pinterest loads and may set cookies such as _pin_unauth. It tells us whether people who found us on Pinterest went on to create a portrait. It waits for your consent exactly like the Meta pixel, and “Essential only” deletes its cookies and keeps it off.
Remembering where you came from
With your consent, we keep a small local note of how you first found us (for example, which advert or search led you here) for up to thirty days. It lives only in your browser, travels only inside your own portrait request, and is deleted the moment you choose “Essential only”.
Cookie-free visit counting
We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which runs without cookies and without storing anything on your device. It tells us which pages people read and where visits broadly come from; it cannot identify you, follow you to other sites, or survive you closing the tab. Because it stores nothing on your device, it does not need a consent toggle, and we would still rather you knew about it.
Your choice, always reversible
The button below reopens the cookie card so you can change your answer whenever you like. Choosing “Essential only” removes any marketing cookies and storage on the spot. Your browser settings can also show and remove everything stored for this site, though blocking essential storage can stop uploads and private previews from working.
opens the same card you saw on your first visit, with your current choice ready to change.
